Ieri sera vedendo Maurizio Lupi, ospite a Otto e Mezzo, difendere a spada tratta il capo del suo partito coinvolto in quello scandalo che tutti ormai sappiamo, mi sono chiesto in effetti quale fosse la posizione di Comunione e Liberazione (di cui lui è uno dei membri più famosi e importanti) di fronte al Rubygate. Decido quindi di andare a leggere la versione online del settimanale Tempi, organo di stampa ufficiale di chi si riconosce nel movimento fondato da don Luigi Giussani. Lo stesso giornale che qualche settimana fa aveva titolato in copertina "L'invotabile" con bella immagine di Fini, l'ateo che ha espresso posizioni favorevoli nei confronti di legislazioni che go in regulating living wills and marriages, is now defending Silvio Berlusconi, in this way:

Paolo a Timoteo, paragrafo 2: «Ti raccomando dunque, prima di tutto, che si facciano domande, suppliche, preghiere e ringraziamenti per tutti gli uomini, per i re e per tutti quelli che stanno al potere, perché possiamo trascorrere una vita calma e tranquilla con tutta pietà e dignità».

L' editoriale è di Luigi Amicone, fondatore e direttore della rivista. Il concetto di "pregare per Silvio" affinchè riconosca l'errore e si riporti sulla retta via l'ho incontrato anche ieri nella rubrica delle opinioni del quotidiano piacentino Libertà (19 gennaio, pg. 45). Don Giancarlo Conte nella sua lettera "A Berlusconi è mancato l'essenziale: un amico vero" conclude scrivendo:

not alone. In these times I hear and read many comments mention the gospel, "He that is without sin cast the first stone" in defense of the Premier.
